Our class descriptions are below. However, before we get to that, we want to make sure you’re safe and ready. We strongly recommend that if you have any injuries or special conditions you spend a couple of minutes before class to review healthy modifications with the teacher before your class begins.
We encourage everyone who attends to ask questions when it’s convenient, and we want to do whatever we’re able to make sure you have a safe, healthy and enjoyable practice.
One of the most difficult things to remember is that yoga is a practice, not necessarily something you try and perfect. The goal is not to think of progress in your practice by “moving up” to the next level. Instead, we want to encourage you to find options and classes that inspire, challenge and feel good to you!
The majority of classes are ongoing, offered on a “drop-in” basis. So when the time is right and you feel ready, we’ll have next part of your journey waiting for you.
If you are dealing with any health conditions or injuries, you have to do what’s best for you as a unique human being. Remember: Yoga isn’t competitive, it’s a cooperative effort between you and your body. If you’re fighting against your body to try and “achieve” an outcome, you could make any injuries or conditions you are dealing with worse.
Listen to your body and work with it, not against it.
To that end; if you’re having difficulty in one of the more advanced classes, we recommend exploring our more alignment-focused classes. Or if you prefer, you can try one-on-one lessons before venturing into more advanced classes… That way you can learn which modifications will help keep your practice safe and enjoyable.
We’re happy to work with you at whatever level you’re at, and – as good stewards and guides to your continued health – all of our instructors will be happy to refer you to a level and style that’s right for you.
